How do characters work in Mazuri GameFI?
In Mazuri, players will be able to mint their characters on-chain and will store them in their wallets. The Player's Character is their avatar. Players will hone and grow their fighters in order to become more than they are at the beginning of the game. Tending after your fighter will be crucial due to the "Fatigue" mechanic.
Players do not have to mint their characters right away, they can play and receive Street Cred, $MZR, and Strike NFTs, but they will not be able to transfer or withdraw any of their assets until their character is minted. However, the more Street Cred the character has accumulated, the higher is going to be the minting cost.
Mazuri will have three main weight categories which will alter the general playstyle players will have.
Stats:
Strength= Hit-points.
Fast/Slow= Strike/movement speed.
Stamina= Amount of energy spent on moves.
Depending on your weight your stamina, hitpoint, and speed will be affected.
Heavyweight: Super strong, very slow, medium stamina.
Light heavyweight: Very Strong, slow, good stamina.
Middleweight: Strong, Fast, Amazing stamina.
Players will dress up their fighters as they want. They will also be able to personalize them in the Gang affiliated dress code, depending on which of the eight gangs the players joins.
Our Gangs:
North Americans
South Americans
Western Europe
Eastern Europe
Africa
East Asia
South Asia
Middle east
Here we explain how players will fight and win and customize their fighters
As stated previously, players will be able to dress up their characters, however that is not all. Aside from the clothing inventory players will also have a "strikes inventory". Each player will have access to several stances.
These stances will affect how players defend themselves in fights, from blocks to dodges. Players will be able to equip each stance with a striking arsenal of 8 strikes per stance plus an ultimative strike. This will allow for adaptive PvP where anyone can defeat anyone with the right reaction and skillset. All the said strikes and stances will be buyable and earnable via either a trainer, an ingame scenario bought as an NFT, or by earning enough street cred.
Strikes:
Players will be incentivized to learn new strikes and stances in order to have a much broader spectrum of fighting capabilities. However, due to combination mechanics, some strikes will go better with one another and with related stances then others, so players will have to train and fight in order to figure out the best combination suited to them.
Stances:
Kung FU
Karate
Boxing
Taekwondo
Savate
Tang Soo Do
Capoeira
Ba Gua Zhang
Pak Mei
Kick-Boxing
and many many more yet to come.
Every time a player finishes fighting another player - his Fatigue bar will get filled more. When his Fatigue bar is full a player is incentivized to rest and wait until the bar goes down. It is done in order to avoid bots and people artificially inflating the pricing of the token.
If the Fatigue bar fills up players will have a high chance of getting injured which will affect their fighting performance and might even render certain strikes useless. This is done so that players that are fighting in tournaments have a more realistic experience. We believe that a fighter that fought ten consecutive battles has to take into consideration that certain strikes might not be accessible to him/her and will have to adapt.
In order to treat injuries faster, players can purchase special medicine, which will fully rejuvenate their fighters.
A way of increasing the speed at which Fatigue goes away is to own in-game cyber-estate.
How players progress and what the endgame is.
Every player will start from the outskirts of the city. Every player will have 0 street cred and must go through a tutorial. After completing the tutorial players will earn a small number of tokens to get started. Those tokens will be staked automatically for 5 years, however, players can already use them in duels.
After the tutorial players will be let out in the city where they will be able to engage in activities and may start fighting right away, players will be incentivized to go through the main campaign scenario in order to earn a few basic stances and new strikes in the form of NFTs.
As players fight and the progress they will increase their Street Cred. After the threshold of 1000 Street cred is breached players will be allowed to join a gang of their choice, or create their own.
The more Street Cred players have the more access they will have to the city infrastructure. Higher Street Cred players will be able to participate in better-paying tournaments. Street Cred will also affect players' rank in a gang that he or she is in.
The highest street cred players will have access to unique real estate, vehicles, costumes, and stances/strikes.
Players will have the ability to purchase in-game apartments and houses, which will be customizable, via the purchase of furniture and decorations. Players will be able to host brawls there and can even make their cyber-estate gang hub.
How players interact and make tokens
Mazuri is very PvP-oriented and the main way players will interact non socially is through combat.
Duels are 1 vs 1 fights that can be done anywhere in the city. Players challenge each other to fight and choose the following two things: how much they would like to bet on themselves and how many rounds they are going to fight. The winner takes 95% of the total pool and earns Street Cred, whereas the loser loses Street Cred. However, players are more than welcome to fight each other without betting on themselves. In this case, players will still earn or lose street cred.
Brawls are Free For Alls or player-made tournaments with their own fees, rules, and prices. Players can earn their street cred and tokens as a team in this mode.
Tournaments are organized by us, the game-masters. they will be regular, for different fighter ranks and will yield much bigger prizes.
Gang wars are exactly what they sound like. Players participating in gang wars will be incentivized to go out in the city alone or as a group and beat up players from other gangs without consent. Be wary, because other gangs will be hunting you as well. Gang wars allow for raiding other gangs territories and taking their tokens.
